Ivan is a skilled, hands-on, practical product developer and problem solver. Stemming from a trade background in Tool Making he is widely experienced in production, manufacturing and CNC machining. With extensive first hand experience in 3D CAD design and CAM systems he has a detailed and up to date understanding of what is required to bring concepts and designs into fruition.

In 1999 Ivan undertook employment at the Mechanics of Materials Laboratory of The University of Auckland. Now known as the Centre for Advanced Composite Materials, there he gained insight into many aspects of the development and application of modern composite materials using both traditional and newly researched combinations of natural fibre and polymer based composites. Ivan’s role was to assist with the engineering requirements of students and researchers and to undertake the design and build of special purpose machinery to assist with the manufacture and use of these composite materials.

By 2003 Ivan was extending his efforts into contract work and projects with a variety of clients. During this time Ivan has essentially used a range of elements from different industries to bring creative solutions to product design challenges.

Mechanical, materials, electronic and software based solutions have been conceptualised and delivered; marine photographic, vehicle automation, solar energy control, waste disposal and electric motor control are among the technologies that Ivan has added to.
